(AGI) London, Dec 5 - The Italian Chamber of Commerce andIndustry for the UK will publish its fifth report on Italianbusiness investments on Friday evening. The report was compiledby the chamber in collaboration with the Italian embassy inLondon and the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy. Thestudy, within Italy's duty presidency of the European Union,conducted a trend analysis of 695 Italian businesses withsubsidiaries or activities in the UK. The analysis, the chambersaid, will illustrate that the financial crisis "did not limitinvestments" and that investing in the UK remains "a viableoption" for Italian businesses. "In the last few years, Italyhas ranked as one of the top investors in the British economy,with 369 projects from 2009 to today, notably in the sectors ofrenewable energy, aerospace and automotive engineering, andcreative and digital industries, creating 8,500 new jobs", itadded. The event surrounding the report's presentation will beinaugurated by the Italian ambassador to the UK, PasqualeTerracciano, while the report will be illustrated by thePresident of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry forthe UK, Leonardo Simonelli Santi. Financial Times journalistfor the Global News sector Ferdinando Giugliano will act asmoderator for the event and debate. The President of SedaGroup, Antonio D'Amato, will also make a speech about Italianinvestments in the UK. The UK's potential exit from the EU willbe the other topic of discussion for the event.
