(AGI) Moscow, Oct 14 - Italy leads the ranks at the 11thInternational Worldwide Moscow exhibition. There are 335 firmsfirms taking part, and 280 are Italian. The exhibition atMoscow's Crocus Expo centre is open until Saturday. It is amajor event for the Russian market and for neighbouringcountries in design and home furniture. The Moscow ItalianInstitute for Foreign Trade (ICE) office, which is organisingthe exhibition with FederlegnoArredo, said it was for Italianfirms that "seek to confirm the primacy of 'Made in Italy'production on the Russian market, which is a major opportunityfor Italian and European producers". This year it includes theMADE expo WorldWide section on interior architecture andfinishings, a natural complement to the home decorationindustry. ICE said this year was one of challenges as Russiaslips from the fifth market for the Italian furniture industryto the sixth due to the slower pace of the economy which ishitting imports. This more complex situation features the 2015Saloni WorldWide Moscow which is a promising event for Italianfirms, and significant for understanding the attitude of localpartners. "As in previous years, ICE supports Saloni WorldWideand MADE expo WorldWide because we are determined to protectthe success stories achieved by 'Made in Italy' products inRussia, in the design and furniture industry, after havingspent overvten years investing in promotional activities," saidRiccardo Monti, President of ICE.
