(AGI) Baghdad, June 28 - The Iraqi military and volunteermilitia groups have regained control of Tikrit, birthplace ofSaddam Hussein, which has been under occupation by IslamicState in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants for several weeks,Iraqi media reported. A Samarra operations source said that theIraqi security forces had also liberated Mkeshifah, also inSalah Al-Din province, between Tikrit and Samarra. Theprovincial governor added that at least 60 ISIS militants hadbeen killed on Saturday, including several of the group'sleaders. (AGI) . .
