(AGI) Baghdad, June 28 - Massoud Barzani, President of theIraqi Kurdistan autonomous region, proposed on Saturday to holda referendum allowing the province of Kirkuk to decide whetheror not to stay under the rule of the central government. Kirkukis being disputed between the authorities of Erbil and thegovernment in Baghdad. In a press release, Barzani also saidthat "the presence of Peshmerga forces in the city does notmean the Kurds want to impose their decision using force". . .
