A webinar, geared to promoting greaterawareness of the Canadian market and opportunities in themechanical engineering/automotive and agri-foodstuffs sectors, will take place at 3.30 p.m. local time on Dec. 9. Canada has alevel of high income and consumption, with solid macroeconomicfundamentals, as shown by its triple-A rating from Standard &Poor's. It is also an excellent gateway to the North AmericanFree Trade Agreement (NAFTA) markets, and their 462 millionconsumers. The stability of the political system, labour marketconditions, cost of raw materials and access to credit makeCanada a particularly attractive prospect for Italianbusinesses. The strong ties between the two countries werefurther bolstered in 2013 by a 12 percent growth in commercialtrade, which amounted to 7.7 billion dollars overall. Italyexports machinery, beverages - mainly wine - and food andpharmaceutical products to Canada and imports cereals, chemicalwood pulp, machinery and mineral fuels. The webinar will stressthe opportunities in the mechanical engineering/automotive andagri-foodstuffs sectors, where there is still ample potentialfor Italian business growth. The webinar is free of charge andusers will be able to raise questions on specific issuesassociated with these sectors.
