To strengthen it further, added Ambassador Diallo:"our government has adopted a number of reforms to encourageforeign investment, and so we urge stakeholders, especiallyprivate businessmen to invest in farming and in the food andagriculture sector, two areas full of opportunity". Inparticular, Ambassador Diallo guaranteed "the utmost support"to Italians "who plan to open business activities in ourcountry". These words were backed up by the figures that thediplomat reeled off during his speech: "Between 2010 and 2015the share of the state budget allocated to agricultureincreased from four to 10 percent", while, "the 2013 to 2017plan for the development of the national agricultural sectorwas drawn up with the support of FAO".
