(VELINO) Roma, 11 Sep - Italian baritone Giacomo Medici cast aspell on Argentina's Bahia Blanca in a performance recentlyhosted at the Centro Marchigiano as part of the celebrationsfor the 25-year collaboration between the Italian ConsulateGeneral and the "Il David" Institute. Medici, accompanied bythe music of Edgardo Giorgio, sang a repertoire of Italiansongs re-arranged in a Latino version, as well as some tangosand songs ranging from Modugno to Gardel. The performance wasconducted in Italian and Spanish. The event was attended byItalian Consul General in Bahia Blanca, Marco Nobili; CarlosPaglialunga, the president of the Association of Italiansliving overseas, Comites, and Francisco Nardelli, the VicePresident of C.G.I.E. in South America, the General Council ofItalians living Overseas, in addition to numerous members ofthe Italian community of Bahia Blanca. At the end of theconcert, the Centro Marchigiano hosted a gala dinner in honourof the two Italian artists. On the following day, the baritonedelivered a lecture to the students of the local music school.Giacomo Medici's Argentina tour started on September 2 inBuenos Aires, passing through other towns before landing inBahia Blanca.
