(AGI) Milan, Feb 19 - The 85th International Motor Show inGeneva, one of the most widely anticipated and prestigiousevents in the world of motors, is ready to start its engines.The city expects 700,000 visitors between March 5 and 15, withMarch 3 and 4 reserved for the press. Around 131 new models andconcept cars - 41 from Europe and 90 from all over the globe -will be presented at the show, which will feature a total ofalmost 900 cars from 220 exhibitors. Tickets for the Palaexpoare expected to be sold out. Fans will be able to feast theireyes on special previews, including the Ferrari 488 GTB, AudiRS 3 Sportback, Ford Focus RS, and the Honda Civic Type-R.Among the concept cars to be seen for the first time, on top ofthe Infiniti QX 30, will be new ideas sure to capture theimagination from historic Italian designers such as Giugiaroand Pininfarina. As per tradition, Geneva will stick to itsenvironmental ambitions and exhibit around 80 'green' cars,which release 95 grams of carbon dioxide or less per kilometre.Furthermore, for the fourth time, the show will be preceded bya preamble for the 2015 Car of the Year award on March 2. Thewinner will be chosen from seven finalists, selected out of 31models from 21 different car makers. The BMW Serie 2, C4Cactus, Mondeo, Mercedes Class C, Qashqai, Twingo, and Passatcomprise the top seven. Tickets for the event are priced at 16Swiss francs for adults, and 9 Swiss francs for pensioners andminors aged 9 to 16. (AGI) . .
