French PMI index falls to three-month low

(AGI) Paris, Sept 23 - The French PMI index fell to athree-month low in September. The Markit flash index hit athree-month low of 49.1 points, down from 49.5 in August, andbelow the 50-point dividing line between economic expansion andcontraction cycles. The PMI manufacturing index was up to 48.8points from 47 points while the services index dropped from50.1 to 49.4 points. The French economy is in "persistingstagnation", said Markit. (AGI) . .
