(AGI) London, Dec. 16 - It was Mario Balotelli who destroyedLiverpool, former 'Red' Paul Ince told the Daily Mirror, andthe Club would do better to sell him as soon as possible. Inthe meanwhile, Adel Taarabt doubled down saying he was never achampion. It's a grim time for the Italian striker as BrendanRodgers' team is struggling in the League, was relegated fromthe Champions to the Europa League and, even if the formerMilan player descended on the pitch only for the last match, heis blamed for being responsible of Liverpool's woes. At leastthis is the opinion expressed by Paul Ince, the formermidfielder of Inter and England national team, in addition toMan Utd and Liverpool, on "TalkSport": "It was a strangedecision bringing Balotelli in; Brendan [Rodgers] thought hecould take that gamble because of losing Luis Suarez toBarcelona but if Jose Mourinho couldn't control him and RobertoMancini couldn't control him then I don't understand whyBrendan thought he could." Ince took the opportunity ofLiverpool's defeat on the pitch of Manchester United to sayeverything he thought the Italian did wrong: "I just watchedhim play yesterday and he plays for himself. You can see thefrustration in the other players. There was a time when hecould have put another player in but he didn't. It seems as ifpeople are frightened to say something to him in case he goesthe other way. They keep saying what a great, talented playerhe is but I've yet to see it...I think the quicker BrendanRodgers sees it and can get rid of him the better, to behonest, and the better it will be for everyone because there isa lack of spirit in that Liverpool side."
