(AGI) Istanbul, Dec 11 - Seven Italian films were premiered atthe fifth edition of Meeting Italian Cinema in Istanbul. Theevent was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute and theLuce Cinecitta Institute, and supported by the Italian Embassyin Turkey and the Italian Consulate General in Istanbul. Filmspreviously shown at 2014's top international festivals werescreened. These included Edoardo Winspeare's Quiet Bliss;Sidney Sibilia's I Can Quit Whenever I Want; The Mafia KillsOnly in Summer, directed by and starring PierfrancescoDiliberto; Jacopo Bedogni's The Lack, Bonifacio Angius'sMisunderstood and Pupi Avati's A Golden Boy. The films, withTurkish subtitles, drew in an audience of around 1,500, and thebilingual catalogue featured images, synopses and detailedlists of awards and festivals at which the films had beenshown. The event, held at the CineMajestik theatre in thecentral Beyoglu district, also hosted debates following thescreeenings, moderated by journalist, film connaisseur andcritic Ihsan Mursaloglu and Il Mattino journalist and filmcritic Maurizio di Rienzo, who was responsible for selectingthe films.
