(AGI) Arese, June 24 - Fiat Chrysler on Wednesday unveiled abrand new Alfa Romeo, heralding the beginning of theautomaker's product renaissance. The Giulia was presented inArese, close to Milan, on the day Alfa Romeo was founded 105years ago. The ceremony was attended by the heads of the FiatChrysler group, including president John Elkann and managingdirector Sergio Marchionne. The Italian government wasrepresented by Infrastructure Minister Graziano Delrio. Alsopresent was tenor Andrea Bocelli, who spoke of his love forcars and recited a poem, before singing 'Nessun dorma' from thefinal act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot, with the famouspiece 'Vincero' (I will win). The new Alfa has a six-cylindertwin-turbo engine, inspired by Ferrari technology, withrear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. CEO HaroldWester said at the unveiling: "The new Alfa puts the driver atthe centre. Romeo was and will be again a perfect fusionbetween man and machine.". .
