(AGI) Rome, July 2 - Kimi Raikkonen seems unconcerned byFerrari reconsidering his position for next season. "Obviously, they've made their decision," the driver shrugged, "I try to dogood races although, obviously, the last race was a bitdifficult. But that's part of the game and, sometimes, you havethat. I don't know anything more than you guys." Raikkonen'slatest performance could jeopardise his position and themessage of the team was clear: "it all depends on him". "Ihope I'll know at some point what will happen," the Finncontinued, "but it's all speculation at this time of year, andalways the same stories, so it doesn't really surprise me alot. Let's see what happens." Raikkonen was speaking after hiscollision with Alonso in Austria, hoping to redeem himself inthe upcoming British Grand Prix. "It's a new race, a differentweekend, so it doesn't really matter if you've had anaccident," he pointed out. "Obviously, it was bad for our race, but that's part of the game, it doesn't change this weekend.I've had accidents before and I probably will in the future. Wepay the price when things go wrong. We've improved the car andit's still a great car, probably not fast enough to challengeMercedes, but it's a very good car and a massive improvementfrom last year. Things go wrong sometimes, but it doesn't meanyou suddenly hate the car. It's a good package, but obviouslywe want to improve and make it faster. We've come such a longway since last year, but people forget all this. We're still awork in progress." Asked about his election as the Formula Onedriver most popular among the fans, he commented: "I think it'sa good thing, it's better to have fans than not to have them.". .
