European markets close on upturn
(AGI) Rome, July 14 - European markets closed on an upturn onMonday, recovering last week's losses related to the PortugueseBanco Espiritu Santo issue. Frankfurt was the best performergaining 1.21 percent to 9,783.01 points. London rose 0.84percent thanks to good pharmaceutical industry stockperformance, following the green light given by Shire toAbbVie's proposal. In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.78 percent andin Madrid, the Ibex picked up 0.64 percent. Milan eventuallygained 0.4 percent, despite a negative performance earlier inthe day. . .
