(VELINO) Roma, 28 Nov - President of Marche Region, Gian MarioSpacca, went on a mission to China with a delegation of Marcheagricultural and food industry companies, to participate in theWorld of Food exhibition in Beijing. This flagship event forthe sector is the most important exhibition dedicated toagricultural and food imports in northeast of China, a marketof 200 million people, with a total turnover of five billiondollars. Marche businesses are taking an increasing interest inthis market. Mr Spacca met the Italian ambassador to ChinaAlberto Bradanini, the staff of the embassy and a number ofChinese operators to create partnerships so as to use theregion's structures as a logistics platform for Expo 2015. "Atthis time Italy needs to do something, because it is losingmarket share to other countries with more speed anddetermination. We have a strong point represented by BrandItaly that also characterises the agriculture and food andnutrition sectors, which are the themes of Expo 2015. Thus wehave a unique opportunity to relaunch our internationalisationstrategy with even more strength and conviction. This is whythe Marche looks to important areas of China as a platform forExpo 2015. This is a great opportunity for us, on which we havebeen working over these days," the president concluded. Thevisit to Beijing was also an opportunity to focus aninteresting publishing project about the historical role of theCourt of Appeal of Ancona, which for a long time in the lastcentury performed the function of court of second instance ofthe consular courts in China. The project will be presented inpartnership with the Italian Embassy and Marche region. vel.
