(VELINO) Roma, 26 Jun - Buenos Aires is to host a collectiveexhibition by five Italian artists entitled "Exodus", betweenJuly 10 and Aug. 3. Organised by the local Italian embassy andArgentina's Culture Ministry, the exhibition is part of thebroader "Verano Italiano" (Italian Summer) culture festival,showcasing the best in Italian cinema, music, opera, art, finefoods and wines. The works of Sara Basta, Elena Belliantoni,Laura Cionci, Mariana Ferratto and Dunia Mauro draw on theyoung artists' experiences of life as expatriates, focusing onissues of cultural exchange, identity, travel and family. Theirwork testifies to an artistic journey in which displacement hasstimulated artistic longings, likening them to modern Ulysses. Key contributors to the exhibition are Italy's embassy andconsulate, the Italian Cultural Institute, and Italy's tradeand tourism boards. vel.
