(VELINO) Roma, 10 Jul - The start of Italy's six-month EuropeanCouncil presidency was recently celebrated in the Hungariancapital Budapest with an open-air performance of cello music bycomposer Giovanni Sollima at the St Stephen's basilica. Thetwo-hour classical and contemporary repertoire was performed by100 young professional and amateur musicians from severalEuropean countries, including Italy and Hungary, selected bythe Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest and Sollima.Attended by as many as 700 embassy guests and hundreds ofmembers of the general public, the concert was ranked as "anoutstanding success" by cultural institute director GinaGiannotti. vel.
