School foodmeans providing breakfast and lunch, or both meals, at school.Ertharin Cousin, Executive Director of WFP, spoke about the newfundraising, stressing the importance of this "ambitiousproject". She said she hoped that everyone would realise thatthe global "zero hunger" mission was a matter that concernedthem all. Part of the video that will be played to passengerssays "Zero is our mission. Together we have a future with zerohunger" and "Hunger feeds wars". Cousin hopes that there willbe a time when we can all go to sleep at night knowing thatnobody is going to bed hungry, a concept that informed theproject with Alitalia, the WFP's only airline partner, fromwhom "significant support" is anticipated. The partnership hasno expiry date; at the moment talk is of a long-term project, which will undoubtedly be renewed in the years to come. (AGI). .
