"Vietnam-Italy: Distant Colours" exhibition opens in Hanoi

(AGI) - Hanoi, Nov. 14 - Photographer Maurizio Cofini takescentre stage in Hanoi on Friday with his passion for Italy andVietnam, with the inauguration of the exhibition entitled"Vietnam-Italy: Distant Colours." Sponsored by the Italianembassy and hosted at the "Casa Italia" cultural centre, theexhibition will remain open until Monday. In this exhibitionthe Italian photographer wishes to emphasise that the twocountries may be geographically distant, but are linked by manycultural and aesthetic similarities. The exhibition includescolours, lights and shadows, lines and intersections thatcontribute to expressing the artist's powerful feelings andgreat passion for these two countries. In 2009, thesephotographs were on show in Rome and at the end of that sameyear Cofini worked for the Vietnamese art and architecturalmagazine Kien Truc Nha Dep, publishing a number of the imageson show in this exhibition. In 2010, the photographer presentedanother exhibition entitled "A Mosaic of Images: Vietnam andAngkor". (AGI). .
