(VELINO) Roma, 22 Sep - September 26 is the deadline forenrolling in the 2014 "FilmCup Brazil & Italy", an eventannounced at the 71st Venice Film Festival and one the thelargest international audio-visual markets to host Italy fromNovember 25 to November 27 at the Sao Paolo CinematecaBrasileira in cooperation with the Ventana Sur market in BuenosAires. The "FilmCup" is sponsored and supported by manyinstitutions, such as ANCINE, the Italian Foreign and CulturalHeritage Ministries (Mibact), the Brazilian Ministry forCulture, Anica, Cinecitta' Luce, SP Cine Regional Found, CentroSperimentale di Cinematografia - Cineteca Nazionale, CinetecaBrasileira, Lazio Film Commission, as well as numerous Italianand Brazilian regions together with associations of filmproducers and directors in both countries. Coordination of theBrazil&Italy meeting is under the aegis of the MIBACT's GeneralDirectorship for Cinema and Cinecitta' Luce. FilmCup will be agreat opportunity for Italian producers to get to know a marketthat has always been very active and profitable, allowing themto set up co-productions with Brazil. A selection committee ofsix Italian and Brazilian professionals working in theaudio-visual sector will select projects for access to pitchingand to finance meetings with possible partners. Eleven projects(six for the cinema and five for television) will be chosen foreach of the two countries. The FilmCup also hosts a three dayprogramme for those working in the audio-visual sector, rangingfrom producers to lawyers, directors, authors and distributors.There will be debates and workshops specifically addressingcreative subjects and other addressed at the sectors financialdynamics. A series of workshops will be reserved for film andtelevision production companies and sales agents. vel.
