(AGI) - Jerusalem, 1 July - Six persons who had demonstrated
against the regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have reportedly been
hanged in Iran, reported the Jerusalem Post, based on a
telephone call with a source in Tehran. The hanging would have
taken place in Mashhad. The news hasn't been confirmed, but the
same source quote a sermon delivered by ayatollah Hadi Gafouri
in which he urges protesters to be careful because they are
risking their lives. Many persons in the Iranian religious
world are criticizing the due Ali Khamenei - Ahmadinejad, like
ayatollah Jalaleddin Taheri-Esfahani. In a sermon in Isfahanhe
said, referring to Moussavi: ''Do you think it's right that a
seyyed (a direct descendent of the family of Mohammed, which
Moussavi claims to be, editor's note), who has stayed on the
side of Khomeini until the last moment of his life is
considered to be a rebel who must be punished?". The regime's
repression seems to have reached its goal. The flow of Twitter
messages is very slow, fewer people are demonstrating and the
windows of people who shout "Allahu Akbar" are broken and
demonstrators are hanged. Order is also kept by the 'Sisters of
Zeynab', the armed women police forces whose violence was
reported yesterday by a daughter of Hashemi Rafsanjani: "My
nephew has seen one of these Sisters of Zeynab beat an elderly
woman without mercy. When he tried to intervene, saying 'What
are you doing, she could be your grandmother!", she went
looking for a basiji to have better support''.
