(AGI) Moscow, June 26 - The show "Giuseppe Verdi. Music andCulture" is on its way to Moscow, where it will be displayedfrom July 1st to August 31st at the F. I. Chaliapinmuseum-compound, part of the M. I. Glinka consortium formusical culture. The exhibit is included in the series ofevents planned to celebrate the Year of Russian-Italian tourismexchange. Its goal is to present the life and work of the greatItalian composer within the Italian political and historicevents of his time, thanks to original documents and aselection of paintings, drawings, satirical newspapers andmementos of the 19th century. The show is articulated in sixsections, which relate the life of the composer from Busseto toits musical context and the national and international eventsof the period. The exhibition comprises "Verdi's papers ","Verdi and the satirical press", "Listen to Verdi", "Requiem","Scenes and early interpreters of Verdi's music drama" and"Verdi at the movies". The show has been planned by theNational committee to celebrate the bicentennial of thecomposer's birth, appointed by the presidency of the Council ofMinisters, and is sponsored by Russia's M. I. Glinka consortiumfor musical culture, the Cultural Heritage and Activities andTourism ministry and the Foreign ministry through the Italianembassy at Moscow. (AGI). .
