(AGI) - Luanda, Jan 21 - Luanda remains the most expensive city in the world for expatriates to move in 2017, according to a report by the German company Movinga, published today. According to the study, that covered 75 international cities, the Index of Prices of Change says that the cost of living for an expatriate in the first month in Luanda reach USD 3,259.32, ahead of cities and capitals such as New York USD 3,084.75, London USD 2,614.35, Hong Kong USD 2,265.41 or Paris USD 1,871.37. The study by Movinga, a company that specializes in relocation, just to rent a room, an expatriate can pay, on average, in Luanda, USD 2,030.39 - for 35 square meters - monthly, while food and drink costs around USD 1,124.24 per month. Medellin (Colombia), Bucharest (Romania) and Tunis (Tunisia) are indicated in this study as the most economical cities to live in the first month, with an average of USD 397.80 required. During the last 10 years in only two years (2015), Luanda was not the most expensive city in the world for expatriates in several studies. (AGI)
