Champions: UK press 'Chelsea on Vesuvius-like uphill path'
12:08 22 FEB 2012
(AGI) London - Chelsea is now finding itself climbing a
mountain more inaccessible than Vesuvius. The English press is
pessimistic about the chances for the "Blues" after their
defeat yesterday at the San Paolo stadium and are pointing the
finger at Villas Boas, a sort of "dead man walking", who, with
his daring choices has compromised the qualification in the
quarterfinals for Champions League and put his job at risk even
more. "Lampard and Cole excluded, but Villas Boas is a loser,"
reads the title in the Daily Express, underlining that, "All
Chelsea had to do in a city dominated by Vesuvius was prevent
an eruption. But they didn't manages." .
